MedySapiens expands AI-based rare disease diagnostics in Asia
In the Philippines, MedySapiens has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Manila’s Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital for pilot testing and providing diagnostic services.
Through this collaboration, Santos Hospital expects to enhance its genomic analysis capabilities, offering swift and accurate diagnoses for more than 220 rare diseases in newborns—a significant increase from the current 35 diseases covered by the Philippines’ Ministry of Health.
The company was recently selected for the Creative Technology Solutions (CTS) program by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), a government-led official development assistance (ODA) initiative involving G2G cooperation.
With this support, MedySapiens plans to test and sell its products in the Philippines over the next two years.
